Museum of Work and of Rural Civilization
The Museum is housed within a skilfully restored 17th century Tuscan farmhouse. It contains a few hundred objects including tools, utensils and farming machines used by farmers of the province of Pisa and Tuscany during the last two centuries. Annexed to the Museum is a large library the documentation centre of which can be consulted on request and gathers texts dating back to the second half of the 19th century and to the first decades of the 20th century. Outside, displayed and still functioning, are an ancient mill, one of the first steam engines dating back to the end of the 19th century and a few threshers from last century.
